The Unus Family Foundation Community Leadership Scholarship is a reflection of our family's deep belief that service to the community is not only a responsibility but also a cornerstone for the healthy development and growth of any community.

Our mission is to support students who actively choose to use their talents and privileges to create a positive impact, both in their schools and local communities and to inspire a lifelong commitment to serving others.

Through this scholarship, we encourage the next generation of leaders who understand the importance of community and are dedicated to making meaningful contributions now and in the future.

Unus Family Foundation Eagle Scout Service Leadership Scholarship

The Unus Family Foundation Community Leadership Scholarship recognizes Muslim Eagle Scouts who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, integrity, and an enduring commitment to serving others. Our family believes that earning the rank of Eagle Scout is not the culmination of leadership rather it is the beginning of a lifetime of service. This scholarship is designed to invest in young adults who continue to lead through action by strengthening their campuses, neighborhoods, workplaces, and communities.

Scholarship Award

Scholarship funds in the amount of $2000 will be paid directly to the accredited college, university, or trade school the recipient is currently attending or plans to attend.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be an Eagle Scout.

  • Be a resident of Northern Virginia.

  • Be currently enrolled as a sophomore or above in an accredited college, university, or trade school, or have confirmed enrollment at that level.

  • Demonstrate leadership, initiative, and continued community involvement after earning the Eagle Scout rank.

Applicants should provide evidence of leading or organizing a project, initiative, or meaningful service effort after earning Eagle Scout, either on their college campus, in their hometown, or within another community they serve.

Application Requirements

Applicants must submit:

  • Completed scholarship application

  • Personal essay

  • Proof of Eagle Scout rank

  • Letter of Impact

Immediate family members of the Unus Family Foundation trustees and scholarship selection committee are not eligible for this scholarship.
